Our Story

Born out of a need for a connection to moments in the founder's life, Candles & Jo was created to play on nostalgic memories through scent. As a luxury artisanal business, we focus on sourcing our products from trusted suppliers, whilst always attempting to find the most local alternatives.

We create luxury candles designed not only to be burned, but to be admired. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted with sculptural precision, drawing inspiration from architectural lines, spatial harmony, and timeless design. From striking statement forms to refined silhouettes, our pillar candles transform everyday spaces into curated environments.
Equally central to our philosophy is fragrance. Our scented collections are developed with the same attention to detail as our designs — layered, evocative blends that shape atmosphere and memory. Whether warm and grounding or luminous and fresh, each scent is intended to enhance mood and elevate ritual.

As a woman owned business, we connect deeply to the values of sustainability and thoughtful processes. Each candle is hand poured by Joelle Sakr Grujovic, following artisanal craftsmanship methods, whilst relying on rigourous scientific processes to ensure safety whist using our products. Our fragrances are all vegan and paraben free, and our waxes vegan and/or cruelty free, paraffin free and from renewable sources.
